Tupac Amaru Shakur

Tupac was born in New York to Afeni Shakur at the New York University Hospital. Tupac developed in Afeni's womb while she was doing time for charges of conspiring to a bombing plot to areas in NYC. While in the Women's House of Detention (Greenwich Village), Afeni had to fight to be able to nourish Tupac. Through harsh conditions, Tupac entered this world on June 16th, 1971, he was a fighter. Billy Garland is Tupac's biological father, however, it was over 20 years until Tupac met him. Billy Garland was not around. Afeni Shakur was part of the Black Panther Party, she joined in 1968. It was the affiliation she had with the party that landed her in jail. Unfortunately, the time and circumstances, in 1971, forced Afeni to move her family around NYC, living in shelters when necessary. Afeni raised her family by the Church. They attended Reverend Herbert Daughtry's The House of the Lord in Brooklyn. According to the Reverend Daughtry, at 10 years of age Tupac wanted to be "a revolutionary". In 1983, at the age of 12, Tupac enrolled in the theater group- 127th Street Ensemble.He began his public image acting in the performance A Raisin in the Sun. In 1985 Afeni moved her family to Baltimore, Maryland. Tupac was enrolled in the rolling Park Junior High untill the 8th grade. He than got accepted to the Baltimore School of the Arts, where his talents as an actor, rapper and dancer bloomed.Tupac met a special friend, Jada Pinkett, whom he shared time with and created performances for anyone interested. It was at this time that Tupac really started \par srapping, recieving the nick name MC NewYork. In \par 1988 Afeni moved the family to Marin City in California. Tupac did not graduate, but did get his GED inlater years.
