Food Occupations


Emphasizing food production and management skill, Food Occupations provides training and education to prepare students to enter the food service industry. The job skills necessary in commercial food service (restaurants and fast foods); institutional food service (schools, hospital); and catering(self-employment such as cake decorating) are taught. Students develop competencies in the areas of safety, sanitation, equipment, and food production. Units of study are available in appetizers, beverages, fast foods, desserts, meats, vegetables, and breads.
