Block one begins with an introduction to electronics covering basic electronic theory. After completing basic theory the students will study Robotics and computer automation. The block ends with a study of digital electronics.
Block two, a study of MS-DOS and MS-DOS utilities will enable the student to set up, run, and troubleshoot MS-DOS based programs. Students will then learn how to install and run Microsoft Windows and Windows based programs. Several different applications programs such as PC tools and Norton Utilities will be introduced and used to locate and solve computer hardware and software problems. This Block will end with a study of spreadsheet and database applications.
Block three will be a study of the internal workings of a computer, how to interface different devices such as CD-ROM, Soundboards,and basic computer repair. Students will learn basic network techniques and operate a small Area Network.
