Drafting/Autocad

The fundamentals of drafting are the same regardless of the type of drawing. All drafters must understand the basic principles of drafting and design. They must be able to communicate ideas graphically through the use of conventional drafting tools and/or computer-aided drafting systems. Drafting training is intended to give the student sufficient basic technical knowledge and skill in drawing techniques to qualify for employment as a junior drafter. The student may decide to continue his/her education in a specialized field of drafting. Characteristics needed to be successful in drafting are patience to work quietly for long periods of time, accuracy, good eyesight, and dexterity. Success relies on being responsible, a problem solver and team worker.
