104. Alexander MONTGOMERY
(16) was born in 1813/14 in TN.
(16) He died on Jan 12 1863. He was buried.
(42) Alexander Montgomery was an officer
in the militia when the Civil War began. Because of the friction between Confederate
and Union sympathizers, Alexander and his son, William B. Montgomery, left eastern
Tennessee and went to Lexington, Ky. There Alexander served as wagonmaster
for the Union Army; being listed as a civilian employee. He died January 12,
1863 and was buried in the military section of the Lexington Cemetery in grave
number 211.
Wiilam B. Montgomery returned to easetern Tennessee where he married and
raise a family
