SIXTH GENERATION

48. Barnett ARNETT ⁽²⁰⁾ was born on Mar 6 1809. He died in May 1895. Barnett first appeared on Harlan Co. tax records 1829, paying a tax on one horse. He was living with the Lewis-Telitha Green family in the 1830 census. He recieved a land grant from the Commonweath of Ky.. 14 Feb. 1831, involving a tract of land on the /cumberland River. Records in the Harlan Co. courthouse show Barnett purchasing land three times (tax records indicate other trasactions}. He built a log cabin on Tom's Creek as was family tradition. He married Julia and lived his entire life there and is buried in a small family cementery there.

49. Julia SPARKS⁽²¹⁾ was born in 1818. Children were:

ii. Calvin ARNETT⁽²²⁾ was born on Aug 5 1842. He died on Apr 13 1900.
iii. Melinda ARNETT⁽²³⁾ was born in 1845. She died on Jul 30 1902.
iv. Telitha ARNETT⁽²⁴⁾ died on Jan 22 1915. She was born Feb. 29, 1853.
v. Elais ARNETT⁽²⁵⁾ was born on Oct 25 1837. He died in 1917.
vi. Mary ARNETT⁽²⁶⁾ was born on Jul 3 1840. She died on Jul 20 1909.
vii. America ARNETT⁽²⁷⁾ was born in 1850. She died between 1903 and 1917.
viii. Elizabeth ARNETT⁽²⁸⁾ was born in 1853.
ix. Letitia ARNETT⁽²⁹⁾ was born on Sep 20 1855. She died on Mar 16 1920.
x. Sarah ARNETT⁽³⁰⁾ was born in 1858. She died on Sep 16 1893.
